I haven’t posted any reviews for a while on anything and so here is one on the NEW mascara by Rimmel London – ScandalEyes Reloaded, a spin off of their Scandaleyes collection. Currently, they are being promoted in Superdrug for £4.99 instead of the original price of 6.99, which is where I got mine from.
There are two different types available, the orange packaged one in ‘Black’ or this one in ‘Extreme Black’. It is quite pigmented, with visible effects in the volume and definition of your lashes after a few coats, as it can build up quite easily. The slightly tapered brush allows you to get into the roots of your lashes, and the inner lashes. It is quite liquidy at first because of the pigmentation but it does dry quickly on your lashes, and is reasonably easy to take off even just with water. It claims to last for ’24 hours’, which I haven’t tested as I don’t wear any makeup that long, but I have found that it lasts quite well without the need to re-apply which I never do throughout 6-8 hour days, and it still looks great!
Overall, the volume and longetivity of the look is the perks of this mascara, though it is quite liquidy which can smudge if you’re not careful!

For today’s post I’m going to do a quick review on this super affordable waterproof mascara by Collection which I’ve been using on its own for the last week, available at Boots or Superdrug (I got mine from Boots!) for £4.99 at it’s retail price, though I bought it on sale for £2.99.
For a start, the packaging is quite elegant for it’s pricing, and I loved the black and gold contrast. This specific mascara is intended to be waterproof, though there is also one especially for volume, from the same range with the same format. The wand wasn’t what i expected. I expected a larger wand simply because of the packaging but I actually really like it as it’s got very small bristles which are perfect for extending your lashes as they can get in between them well. I found that the application with a few coats is quite good at making your lashes look longer without looking like you’ve got much on. It also deepens the colour of your lashes well in my opinion, which give them a bit more definition.
As for the waterproof side of it, it is pretty much what it says. During this week I happened to be chopping onions which was a great test to see if they are indeed waterproof and from judgement I can say that there were no visible smudges or indication that it wasn’t waterproof. It can be tough to remove if you’ve applied a few coats so I guess the waterproof side works!
Overall, I think that although it is not one of the best to give ultra volume, considering I was looking specifically for a simple, cheap waterproof mascara, I think the quality is in line with the price. It’s a great, everyday mascara and I assume the volume version would be just as good and specialise in volume, rather than waterproof like this one!

Hi, I thought I’d post a review on this mascara as it’s one of the first products I’ve bought from L’Oreal Paris 🙂 I bought it on the way back from France on the ferry, so obviousely it was tax – free, but the RRP is: £10.99
Usage: I’ve had it for about a month, but I’ve used it for about a week.
First thoughts: There were loads of different L’Oreal Paris mascaras but I really like the purple/gold packaging on this one, and it looked quite expensive and of good quality. It was also one of their most recent mascaras, and they were all around the same price so I purchased this one. My lashes are fairly long so most mascaras don’t have much effect in terms of lengthening them so with this one I was quite surprised…The first time I used it, I didn’t think much of it and did not see any real effects, but as I continued the usage I applied a few more coats and from the roots which eventually gave my lashes the boost I was looking for in a mascara.
Application: I slightly curl my lashes with a lash-curler, before applying a few coats of the mascara, though even without the lash-curler’s, the effect is great.
The mascara genuinely lengthens them and gives maximum volume, unlike previous mascaras I’ve tried. The bristles are fairly short and close together, which explains why your lashes look so much more defined and voluminised, as each coat fans out your lashes, so each individual lash is separate, and therefore become much more defined. People started complimenting me a lot more on my lashes with this mascara, and at times it looked like false lashes!
Verdict: If you want defined, voluminized, beautiful looking lashes, then this is worth it. Personally I probably won’t purchase it again but ONLY because at £11 it would be pricey to constantly repurchasing if I used it regularly. BUT it makes a great everyday mascara and it gets the thumbs up! ❤
