So breakfast smoothies are a great alternative to something usual like toast or cereal, while boosting your nutrients at the same time! This one’s super refreshing, perfect for summer and so easy to make!
All you need is:
Half a cup of frozen berries
Greek yoghurt (optional)
Toppings (as in the picture; feel free to use your own!): Half a banana chopped into slices, some frozen or fresh berries, granola and coconut flakes
How to make:
- Simply blend the frozen berries, banana and milk, alongside the milk and greek yoghurt. It’s best to put about half a cup of milk as you don’t want the mixture to be too thick. If you wanted it as a smoothie, then simply add double the amount. The greek yoghurt is optional, but gives it a great taste and also helps to thicken the mixture!
- Pour the mixture into a bowl, and add your toppings as you wish! It looks extra aesthetic if you assort them into rows as in the picture, but it’s all up to you. Sometimes I prefer making it look pretty, while sometimes I’ll just throw it all on. Either way it tastes amazing!
As you can probably tell by my previous post, ever since I bought a mason jar, I’ve become obsessed with making smoothies as they look so good in them! It’s a great way to add some fruit into your daily diet, and also make amazing breakfast smoothies! Here’s the recipe for this amazing combo:
All you need is (to make 1 serving):
A splash of milk
A tablespoon or two of double (or single) cream
You could also try some ice to make it extra summery!
Simply chop everything to make it easy to blend, before blending them all together! Then pour into a glass and enjoy! 😉
